Camp Weehawken is a camp for teenage/child versions of askblogs, featuring special events and grouping into team cabins. It was the first AU for the fandom, starting a chain reaction of other AUs to follow. It started in 2013, and has been continued every year since.[1]
It began in very early July lasting through early August with the beginning of the fandom's second AU, Thneedville High.
Created by tumblr user Pinkcakes, it was an interpretation of a few conversations between Swag and One. She created designs for their younger selves, and named the camp "Weehawken", in reference to a line from the original book.
North Nitch and South Stitch would eventually become the names of the camps for girls, North Nitch for Norma and Fem!Onceler askblogs, and South Stitch Oncelings.
The idea for the camp was quickly accepted by the popular askblogs, which led to an explosion of fanfictions and art. Any askblog was allowed to participate, and could join the camp to interact with other askblogs. The ages vary, most between the ages of 12-17. Some are counselors. Ted and Young Beanpole are 8.
Weehawken will be most likely continuing into 2024.
